Analisis Perhitungan Biaya Perawatan Sebagai Dasar Evaluasi Penggantian Mesin Ctcm (Continuous Tandem Cold Mill) Pada Divisi Cold Rolling Mill PT. Krakatau Steel

PT. Krakatau Steel is the oldest and largest steel company in Indonesia. This company should maintain the performance of the machine to produce steel with a good quality. One way to maintain the the machine is doing maintenance with optimal total cost. Tandem Cold Mill Contionus Machine is one of machine to produce cold rolled steel sheet. Currently, the age of the machine has passed the economic life of the machine. This leads to frequent machine breakdown. For choosing the maintenance policy, this study used repair and preventive maintenance policy. The result of calculation show repair maintenance policy is the optimal maintenance policy for CTCM Machine with the total cost for Rp3.060.606.793/month. Then we calculate maintenance cost of old and new CTCM machine for the next five years. Results showed differences in maintenance costs Rp. 39,789,487,289 over the next five years.
